Bishopswood Golf Club's Annual Dinner Dance

Date: Saturday 19th November 2011

The Club put on another fantastic black tie event, filled with the usual top quality food, entertainment and surroundings. This years Annual Dinner Dance cost just £32.50 a ticket which included a 3 course meal with coffee, band, DJ and prizes to be won.

Bishospswood's live music Night

Bishopswood hosted an evening of live music on the 5th November so attendees enjoyed a good night out in the comfort of our club house. For £8.00 per ticket they could enjoy food, Richard West's 'Watch Out' band plus guest band plus of course, the odd firework.

Mayor Cllr David Leeks Visits Bishopswood

Date: 20th October 2011

The Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane visited Bishopswood in September to try out the food and facilities. It was an honour to have him here and the evening was thoroughly enjoyed.

Mayor Cllr David Leeks followed up with a letter to say 'The food was an excellent quality and beautifully presented, we were most impressed' and 'It was a great opportunity to see first-hand how accessible the club house is and how wheelchair users can enjoy the club house as much as the able bodied'. Fantastic feedback.

Summer Ball

Date: Saturday 2nd July 2011

The biggest summer social event date in Bishopswood's Diary is the Grand Summer Ball. With tickets selling out a week before, 99 people attended this year and enjoyed a fantastic evening. The night included a speech from the club Captain, a fabulous menu plus entertainment from a table magician and band, FreezeFrame.

Bishopswood Golf Course Pro AM 2011

Bishopswood held it's biggest event since it's opening at the end of June. Their yearly Pro AM was extended from one day to two to celebrate the new opening. The tournament was sponsored by Amcrest Ltd along with others including All Day Safety Services, Clere Golf, Jennings Butchers, WaveGoddards Brewery, Amberwood Designs, Kennett Insurance Brokers, Berrys Solicitors, Golf Car UK, Allens Garage Workshop, Winchester Garden Machinery, Sainsburys, Footjoy, Srixon, Wilson, Adidas, MDL Contractors, Ping UK, Masters, Taylor Made, FKS Buildbase, Abbey Furnishings and RBS.

Bishopswood offered a buffet to those taking part on the Thursday and finished with a bang with a Gala dinner evening and awards presentation. There were many prizes to be won including golf equipment, hampers kindly donated by Sainsburys and a handsome first prize sum collected by winners Ian Roper and Roger Tuddenham.

All in all, a successful tournament enjoyed by all and a great way to celebrate the opening of the new Bishopswood Golf Course.
